Shelly Buestrin is a PWM Team Client Service Lead, bringing over 20 years of industry experience—including more than 15 years at Baird—to her role supporting our private wealth management clients. Since joining the North Shore branch in 2011, Shelly has been a steady and knowledgeable presence, becoming a trusted resource for both clients and colleagues. She has a particular passion for guiding clients through the estate process, offering compassionate support during life’s most challenging transitions. Whether helping navigate the loss of a loved one or coordinating with Baird Trust, our Wealth & Estate Planning team, or outside experts, she ensures every detail is handled with care. Her expertise in account transfers, maintenance, and problem resolution reflects her commitment to personalized service and thoughtful solutions.
A natural mentor, Shelly has supported and trained many team members over the years. In 2016, she was honored with Baird’s prestigious Kasten Private Wealth Management Award. The Kasten Award honors Baird associates who not only provide outstanding advice and service to their clients, but those who also serve as role models of the firm’s cultural values.

Shelly lives in Mequon with her husband, Tom and their daughter, Grace. Outside of work, she’s known for her competitive spirit—especially when it comes to games like Cribbage and Scattergories. Shelly enjoys spending her weekends and evenings practicing pilates or cheering on her daughter at volleyball games.
Shelly holds her FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.
